Claim Today Solicitors present children’s art exhibition for road safety campaign

On Saturday 3rd December 2011  Claim Today Solicitors presented an exhibition of school children’s art at Birmingham’s famous Waterhall Gallery between 10am – 1pm. The show which featured posters designed by pupils from Harborne Primary and St Bernard’s School in Moseley was the climax of a campaign aimed at children for Road Safety Week, in support of the charity Brake.

Brake’s campaign is this year aimed at drivers between 17 and 25 who are four times more likely to die in a crash or cause the death of a friend because of their reckless driving than any other age group. Claim Today Solicitors are determined to get the road safety message out to young people long before they get behind the wheel and launched a national road safety tour of schools here in Birmingham in November.

Pupils at Harborne Primary and St Bernard’s School in Moseley were treated to the premier of an animated film “Clock on to Safety” produced by the firm. The children were also invited to take part in a poster painting competition. All the entries were exhibited at Birmingham’s Waterhall Gallery.

The competition was judged by a local artist Paul Hipkiss. Six lucky winners received family Christmas concert tickets kindly donated by the CBSO and Claim Today Solicitors.

The winners were presented with their prizes by Brake campaigner Marie Craddock on Saturday 3rd December at the Waterhall Gallery, Chamberlain Sq, Birmingham.

Managing Director Rob Bhol said, “We at Claim Today Solicitors are delighted with the response from the children to our road safety campaign. The work they have produced shows they have really absorbed the message. Well done to everyone."

Claim Today Solicitors sponsored Brake’s publicity campaign in the West Midlands and is supporting a national Brake publication for children affected by fatal road accidents bluntly entitled “Someone has died in a road crash”.
